CAMPING on the IONIA FREE FAIR GROUNDS!

1.  All Campers MUST check in with the campground supervisor upon arrival.  Campground supervisor
has the final say on placement of campers.  Any campers not parked in the proper location, as
assigned by the campground supervisor, will be subject to having their trailer/camper towed at their
own expense.  Owners will hold the Ionia Free Fair harmless for any damage sustained to their
trailer/camper while being towed.

2.  One vehicle is permitted per campsite.  No parking passes may be exchanged for a campground-
parking pass.  Any campsite with more than one vehicle on site will have the additional cars towed at
the owner's expense.  Owners will hold the Ionia Free Fair harmless for any damage incurred during
towing.

3.  The Campground Superintendent will be on the grounds after 10:00AM Sunday, July 18th, for arrival
and parking of campers.   Thereafter, the Campground Supervisor will park campers daily after 4:
00PM.   If campers come early and park in the wrong spot their camper will be removed at their
expense.  
No campers will be allowed to park until Sunday, July 18th, after 10:00AM.   NO
EXCEPTIONS!!

4.  Campers must take their garbage to designated containers.  The campground supervisor will have
a map showing the locations of said containers.  Any camper leaving the campsite dirty will be fined.

5.   No campfires are allowed on the Fairgrounds.

6.   In the Primitive Camping Area all generators must be shut off between the hours of 12:00 midnight
and 6:00 am

7.   Water is to be used for hook up to the trailer only.   No washing of vehicles, trailers, etc is allowed.

8.   Gray water and black water is only to be dumped at the dump station located on the North side of
the Exhibition Building.  Ask Campground Supervisor for information on grounds dump service. ANY
CAMPER FOUND DUMPING GRAY OR BLACK WATER WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE GROUNDS.

9.   Expandos and Awnings must be inside lot line by no less than two feet, provided space is
available.  *See Department of Environmental Quality Law State of Michigan Campground rules R325.
1556 through R325.1559  

10.   Parking will be restricted to ONE VEHICLE PER LOT.   Vehicles will be towed, at the owners
expense, if parked in a fire lane.   A road right-of-way must be maintained at all times having a
minimum width of 20 feet for fire safety.

11.   All electrical cords must be 12 gauge or better with proper ground.

12.   All water hook ups must have an anti-siphon device.

13.  Air conditioners are not guaranteed to work during the entire time of the event due to high
capacity of campers on the grounds.

14.  The IONIA FREE FAIR will not be held liable for any loss or damage to campers or appliances as a
result of electrical or weather related issues.

15.  Use of motorized recreational vehicles:
1)  During the Fair, all motorized recreational vehicles (golf carts, JD Gators, scooters, quads etc.)
must be registered with the Fair office.  A registration application along with a copy of current liability
insurance and a copy of the driver's license of all persons authorized to operate the vehicle must be
provided.  A numbered identification will be provided to be affixed to the vehicle at all times.  (This will
need to be turned back in to the Fair at check-out)

2)  No motorized recreational vehicles are allowed on the midway between the hours of 10:00am until
midway closing during the entire run of the Fair.  Vehicles may use the outside perimeter roads,
parking in an unrestricted area near E!Park for access to the midway.  Exception to this rule:  delivery
by or for vendors.

3)  No unlicensed drivers will be allowed to operate the vehicle on the Fairgrounds.  Excessive speed,
careless driving, driving on the midway, driving that endangers the operator, occupants, or the public
will receive a warning.  Anyone who has been warned of improper use of their vehicle more than one
time will be required to surrender their sticker and must park the vehicle for the duration of the Fair.

4)  Campground staff, Board of Directors, and local law enforcement personnel is authorized to
enforce and administer the above rules.  We want all who visit to have an enjoyable and safe Ionia
Free Fair!

Ionia Free Fair Campgrounds.  
We have electrical hook ups, showers and bathrooms, and a great playground for the
kids.  Located 2 blocks from historic downtown Ionia and only half an hour from Grand
Rapids, Battle Creek and Lansing, the Ionia Free Fair Grounds is a great place to stay on
your West Michigan adventure.
