It takes careful planning all year long and TONS of help from dedicated volunteers... People like YOU! Here you'll find just a few of the ways you can get involved with the Ionia FREE Fair. Maybe you have a special talent you'd like to share, or your great with kids. Maybe you'd make a great judge for some of our E!Park contests or agricultural and livestock shows, whatever your specialty we'll match it up with the perfect opportunity for you to share it. | MENTOR KIDS OR TEACH ADULTS! SHARE YOUR TALENT BEFORE OR DURING FAIR! Ionia County Youth work year round on their projects they present at the Ionia FREE Fair. Through 4-H and Open Class programs you can share your knowledge and ensure the enrichment of thousands of Ionia FREE Fair patrons. |
| IFF GRANDSTAND DOOR PROGRAM Many of our buildings are in need of new doors and roofs. One of our biggest projects is our historic grandstand which has over 20 garage style doors that are in need of replacing. You can provide a new garage door for the grandstand for a donation of $400. |
| IFF BENCH PROGRAM Having a nice bench to rest on while your having a great time at the fair benefits everyone. You can purchase one of these benches in memory of a loved one, or just because! You'll get three lines of text placed on your bench and it will be placed right on the Midway during the Ionia FREE Fair! New Benches are just $100, and you'll have the option to renew your bench each year for just $25. |
| KEEP THE FAIR BEAUTIFUL! You can volunteer to help plant flowers in the spring, or even help water them all season long. Donations are also accepted to buy the flowers and flower boxes that we have on the grounds. You can donate any amount you wish to be put towards the beautification of our great fairgrounds. |
| FRIENDS OF THE IONIA FREE FAIR From answering phones to answering fairgoer questions, we have a TON of jobs for volunteers. You can work in Doug's Place during any of our events, drive a fair trolley, or shuttle our senior fairgoers around the grounds. Whatever your interest we've got a job for you! |
