Each year the Ionia Free Fair Queen and Court are crowned on the opening Thursday of the Fair during a ceremony on the E!Park stage.  The Ionia Free Fair Royalty represents the Fair at many area parades and functions throughout the year.

A Royal Reception is held each year at the historic Blanchard House in Ionia prior to the Ionia Free Fair Grand Opening Parade.  Visting fair and festival royalty are invited to attend along with local dignitaries.  Refreshments are served during this social event.
